Clearwave Mental Health – Psychiatry & TMS Clinic – Hauppauge

“I was looking for a new psychiatrist and contacted Clearwave Mental Health in Hauppauge because I saw Fidelis listed in connection with their services. I have Fidelis Managed Medicaid and was trying to establish psychiatric care. I called to confirm whether I could make a psychiatric appointment using my insurance, only to be told that Fidelis was not accepted for psychiatric care. I understand that insurance coverage can differ depending on the specific service, but the way the insurance information is presented is confusing when Fidelis is clearly associated with Clearwave’s TMS services. What made the experience worse was how fast and dismissive the person I spoke with was when I was simply trying to clarify whether I could receive care there. (A male representative) When someone is actively trying to find psychiatric treatment and dealing with insurance changes, having to call around and then being quickly dismissed for asking a legitimate insurance question is incredibly frustrating.”
